Braided Crown

My final hairstyle in collaboration with The Stylisted is my absolute favorite – a fun take on the braided crown! My hair is super heavy so I love that this particular style doesn’t involve a lot of bulky layers that need to be bobby pinned. Get all of the details below…

Part hair into two sections. Either with a middle or side part, front to back.

Start an inside out Dutch braid {braiding each strand underneath the other rather than over} near the nape of neck and work your way up one side. Continue braiding all the way down the strands and clip out of the way.

On the other section, start a Dutch braid at the top of your head going down, like you usually would. Continue braiding all the way and pin into the first section after loosening a bit to create the beginning of the crown in the bottom section. To loosen, gently pull the braid on each side to create a bigger and fuller look.

Continue to loosen and pin the remaining first section under the second section creating a full crown. Or you can take the section and pin slightly behind the second section as we did in the photo.

Easy! Remember, if you don’t want to tackle this hairstyle yourself – contact The Stylisted to book an at home appointment {ask for Bev if you’re in Chicago}!
