I find this very flattering because 1. I think I use some pretty good products and 2. I have no idea what I’m doing when it comes to application. Either way! I am happy to share my steps and what works for me.

I actually created a hilarious Youtube video with a step-by-step tutorial. You guys, when I watched it over I had a black brush hair on my upper lip throughout the entire video, concealer clumped between my eyebrows, foundation in my hair and it made me realize that I really need to get Invisalign. Either way, I’m happy to share…

Below I want to detail why I love all of these products and a few more that I frequently use, too. Although the ones I shared in the video are definitely ones I use consistently, there are still products that I love and use too (like this Bobbi Brown brightening brick).

  1. Laura Mercier Foundation Primer in Radiance – I love the way this smooths out the texture of your skin while adding a glow to your entire makeup application. A new product to my routine (thanks to a blogger recommendation) and I’m obsessed.
  2. Bare Minerals bareSkin Concealer in Medium – Hands down the best and most concealing concealer I’ve used. It also doesn’t dry out your skin like a lot of concealers I have tried.
  3. Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer in Natural – If you’re looking for something with intense coverage, this isn’t it. I love this tinted moisturizer because it is lightweight, provides enough coverage to brighten the face and act as the foundation for everything else.
  4. Bobbi Brown Bronzer in Natural – A great, even tone, not too orange, bronzer.
  5. Blush – I have a few favorite that I didn’t feature in the video (I actually removed a lot of the video because I talk and talk and talk and talk, ha!). For winter months, I love Bobbi Brown’s blush in Tawny. It is kind of a dusty rose color. When I want a more subtle blush look I use Bobbi Brown’s Brightening Brick Compact. In the video I use a soft peachy color, Kevyn Aucoin’s Aurora blush. It looks like they aren’t selling this online anymore but Helena looks almost identical.
  6. Laura Mercier Radiance Powder – Adds the perfect amount of glow!
  7. Glossier Boy Brow – The only eyebrow gel I use. It fills in gaps and keeps your eyebrows in place all day!
  8. Elizabeth Mott Mascara – I love the smaller brush on this mascara, allowing me to get every single eye lash. It stays all day, doesn’t clump and the application is really even. My favorite drugstore steal is Maybelline Mega Plush mascara
  9. Bobbi Brown Liquid Lipstick – Obsessed with the Perfect Nude and Honey Bare colors. I also wear and love Bobbi Brown Lip Color in Almost Bare
  10. My brushes: Bobbi Brown Bronzer Brush, Bobbi Brown Blush Brush, Laura Mercier Fan Brush.

    1. Unfortunately I don’t have the space to organize my jewelry – it all sits in a Pottery Barn makeup bag in a drawer 🙂

  1. I love seeing the everyday products that other people swear by — the Laura Mercier moisturizer is a favorite of mine too! Loved your commentary throughout the video- ha!

  2. Thank for sharing your makeup routine with us. Glad I’m not the only one who cannot contour! 😂

  3. Thanks Liz for the video! I love watching beauty routine videos and also skincare. U did a great job and look very pretty. Make more videos please:)

  4. Thanks for sharing your beauty routine! I really enjoyed watching the video because I learned about some makeup products I’ve been curious about! And I really like how natural your makeup looks!

  5. This was hilarious in the best possible way. I love how you are always so real- it’s what makes your blog and your snapchat one of my favorites to follow!

  6. You are so hilarious! I use just about the same amount of makeup as you, so seeing this is amazing, and the makeup suggestions are so useful. I can certainly be intimidated by bloggers who spend forever every morning getting ready – that’s just not a reality for me, so thanks for being approachable! 🙂

  7. This was wonderful!! Thank you so much! I love the natural look – great for on the go – and it still looks amazing!

  8. Hi, thank you for sharing your routine! Have you ever tried the bobby brown eye brow / natural brow shaper? That’s what I use and I’d love to know if you have experience comparing it to the glossier kind which I haven’t tried.

    1. Unfortunately I have not! I’m sure most gels are similar if it is a gel 🙂

  9. It was such a fun video! I love how you stayed honest and true to yourself! I acutally will try your conturing tips and some of the products you used really catch my eyes.

The flat lays are just amazing, I really need to learn how to take amazing pictures like yours!

  10. Love this! My makeup collection, like you, is mostly Bobbi Brown. I use Bobbi’s tinted moisturizer, you should try it! Also, in terms of mascara, I just picked up Bobbi’s “Eye Opening” Mascara a couple weeks ago and love it. It’s very similar to some of those “big lashes” but without clumping my eye lashes.

You should keep going with the YouTube! I loved it! Would love to see how you did your hair for your last post.

  11. I loved your beauty routine. I feel like this is one I could follow. Beauty vloggers are fun to follow and watch, but not realistic for my everyday life. Yours was so easy and made you look so put together. I need to start making more time in the mornings to do a little makeup.

  12. I love this! I know nothing about makeup. I’d love to but get so overwhelmed. My husband took my 13 year old to see a professional. 😂

  13. Liz,

Thank you for sharing your makeup routine with us! You have inspired me to try a couple new products and switch up my routine. I feel like I often get into a makeup rut and am looking for a change. I loved the video tutorial…as others have said, it is so easy to follow along!

  14. Girl! You are so gorgeous and hysterical! Love watching makeup videos and this was so good!

  15. I love how real you are! I mean, that you talk about your little pimple about to start, show yourself dropping your concealer – this was fun 🙂 and helpful! Laura Mercier – so many thumbs up.

  16. This was my favorite – you are hysterical. But seriously, I always like how natural your makeup looks. You always look so beautiful, but not over done!

  17. Hi Liz- Thank you for sharing your beauty routine! I am a fan of a natural look and love Bobby Brown. After watching your video I found a few products that I’d love to try including the illuminator, eyeliner, blush and lipstick. Anyway, thanks for sharing!❤️

  18. Thanks for the video! I always get overwhelmed by beauty bloggers videos because I have no idea what they are doing or what all those brushes are for so this was way more my pace! Your skin always looks glowing so I’m excited to try a few of the products!

  19. Love love love this post! And really appreciate the fact that you don’t take yourself too seriously. Can’t wait to try the products above that I ordered!

  20. Not really a “comment-er” BUT this made me lollll and all these products are my faves! You’re the best!

  21. After reading that you do “2 loads of laundry a day” I will no longer read your blog. What a RIDICULOUS comment! And, if you in fact do actually do 2 loads of laundry a day, what an ecological NIGHTMARE.

    Please. Stop.

  22. Love this! My favorite makeup tutorials are always of the “this is what I wear everyday” variety. I just want to look like a slightly brighter, sparklier version of myself, I don’t want to spend an hour contouring or trying to make green glitter eye shadow work for daytime!

(Also, I only know this because he is my all-time favorite makeup artist, Kevin Aucoin’s last name is pronounced “oh-kwan” — it’s a tough one! )

  23. Loved this Liz, so simple yet so pretty! 🙂 Thanks for sharing!
